SFSTAMP FORGEPE STAMP & SEAL
Answers · Ready drawings

I have drawings ready — who can review and stamp them?

Ready drawings are the normal starting point here. Most sets we seal were drawn by someone else — that's what the desk exists for.

The short answer

We can — reviewing and sealing finished drawings is this desk's core work. Send the set as it stands, with its calculations and the project location. A licensed PE scopes it, reviews the design, returns corrections in writing if the set needs them, and seals it when the work is right. Already drawn is not a problem to explain. It's the standard intake.

What "ready" should include

The complete current drawing set, at its latest revision. The calculations behind it — loads, sizing, selections. The project location, which sets the jurisdiction, the codes and the licensure check. And anything the permitting authority has already said about the project. That package lets a review start on arrival. Missing pieces don't disqualify a set; they just become the first cycle's work, and scoping will name them before the engagement begins.

The sequence from here

Scoping first: disciplines, jurisdiction, completeness — answered with a written scope and quote, with the engagement timeline stated in it. Then the review itself: design criteria established, calculations verified, details traced, disciplines reconciled. Corrections, where the work needs them, arrive in writing with the code basis; revised sheets are re-reviewed. Then the seal — applied by the responsible PE when the set earns it, with the review documented behind it. Land, stamp, done — but the stamp is earned in the middle step, and every set goes through it. The step-by-step version lives at how to start a PE review.

If they're not as ready as you thought

It happens constantly, and it is not an embarrassment — it's the review working. Sets arrive with calculations run against an earlier layout, title sheets citing the wrong code edition, details the numbers don't support. The reviewer's job is to find those things here, where they cost hours, instead of at the permit counter, where they cost weeks. What you get back is a correction list you can act on — or, where you'd rather hand the fixing over too, the desk sits inside Apex Grid Engineering PLLC, a full engineering firm; ask at scoping and the correction work can be scoped with the review.

Your drawings are ready. So is the desk.

Send the set — scoping and the written quote come first, before any obligation.
