Privacy notice
What happens to information sent to this site and its contact address — stated before launch, in the same plain register as everything else here.
Information inquiries carry
A review inquiry necessarily contains project information: your name and email address, the project's location and description, and the documents you choose to send — drawings, calculations, specifications, and correspondence with permitting authorities. This notice covers that information and basic technical data your browser sends when visiting any website.
How it is used
Inquiry information is used to evaluate and respond to the inquiry: to confirm jurisdiction and licensure, to scope and quote the engagement, and to perform review work if an engagement follows. Notifications of new inquiries are delivered to the firm's internal hub mailbox, and submissions are recorded in an audit trail so that what was received, and when, can be established. Project documents are stored with access limited to the team working on the engagement.
What we do not do
Inquiry information and project documents are not sold, and are not shared outside the engagement team and the service providers who operate the firm's mail and storage systems — except where a jurisdiction's process requires documents to be submitted to an authority, which happens only as part of an engagement and with the client's knowledge. Drawings are treated as the client's confidential work product; the firm's review does not transfer any ownership in them.
Retention
Inquiry records are retained as part of the firm's business and professional records, consistent with the record-keeping obligations that attach to engineering practice. If you sent an inquiry that did not proceed and would like your documents deleted, write to the address on the contact page and the team will confirm deletion, subject to any retention the firm's professional obligations require.
This site's own data practices
The library is a static publication: it maintains no user accounts and publishes no advertising trackers. Standard server logs record visits for security and reliability purposes. If measurement tools are added as the site develops, this notice will be updated to describe them before they are relied upon.
